Busy Summer for PB365 (05/07/2010)

PB365 have kicked started a summer with a large amount of tennis activity. From the successful launch of Saddleworth Tennis Clubs new coaching programme, to the delivery of teacher training and success on the courts for talent academy members. The summer has seen Saddleworth Tennis Club becoming established with a full coaching prgramme for both adults and juniors alike utilising the strong links developed by PB365 with the local community. Work on a similar project within inner city manchester has seen the delivery of a community coaching programme utilising the new facilities at a local sports college. This will see the venue being turned in a tennis club, with this formation being lead by local volunteers to sustain the long term delivery of tennis within inner city manchester. The diversity of the service has also seen PB365 delivering training to a number of teachers. To top off what is already a busy summer Adam Singleton Talent Academy member recently competed in the finals of the Lancashire AEGON  U8 red league. As the youngest competitor in the event it was a massive acheivement for adam to be involved in the finals of such a prestige national tournament.



Saddleworth Schools Festival a success! (23/05/2010)

71 primary aged school children attend a tennis festival at saddleworth tennis club on the 22nd may 2010.
The fesitval was a follow on to the in schools coaching that had taken place and was a great success. Many thanks go to the children,  parents and teachers who supported the event. See the clubs section for further information on coaching at saddleworth tennis club.

PB365 have now provided 1516 children with free schools tennis coaching (12/05/2010)
With the roll out of taster days and the coaching in schools around Saddleworth Tennis club a massive 1516 children have received tennis for free within their school. Paul Jepson head of PB365r says 'this sums up the hard work, commitment and focus of the service.To have delivered tennis to over 1500 children, many of whom have never picked up and racket before is a fantastic achievement and all within the first 2 months of the service being in operation. Our aim to increase tennis opportunties and  the number of people participating in tennis is clear, we now have the task of converting these children into structured club and competition programmes".

Saddleworth primary schools are currently receiving free in schools coaching in preperation for the upcoming inter school festival linking to the launch of Saddleworth Tennis Clubs new coaching programme being run by PB365. The work has been funded by the Tennis Foundation following work with PB365, the LTA and Oldham Sport Development

PB365 providing community tennis in North Manchester (27/04/2010)
PB365 are working in partnership with Our Ladys Sports college and its network of primary schools to establish a community tennis club from the new courts at the school. This work will see low cost coaching opportunities for both adults and juniors in the north manchester area.

PB365 provide 400 children with free schools tennis coaching (01/04/2010)
400 children have now received tennis coaching within their school at no cost to them or the school.

PB365 growing grassroots Tennis in Oldham (28/03/2010)

Following recent work with the Lawn Tennis Association and Oldham Sport Development staff  PB365 have received funding to deliver a schools programme linked to the development of Saddleworth Tennis Club.  This will provide greater access for both youngsters and adults to quality coaching and competition opportunities. It will also provide a huge help in the quest for Saddleworth Tennis club to become a Tennis Clubmark venue.
